Pettah Markets

The chaotic Pettah markets definitely worth a visit to see the ordinary disorderliness. Pettah market is an amazing experience for bargain shoppers. It's noisy, sticky, smelly, hot and crowded with it's narrow streets and shops and stalls of merchandise

Colombo Fort

The Colombo Fort was once indeed a fort during the European era, today the central commercial district and administrative hub for government departments and cooperate offices. The fort area is a mixture of buildings from many eras of the cities past. The most notable of residences of the fort is the President's House, official residence of the President of Sri Lanka

Pettah Hindu Kovils

Kovils are Hindu temples. In Pettah the concentration of Hindu Kovils is significant. Old Kathiresan Kovil (Open 6am-6pm) and New Kathiresan Kovil (Open 6am - 6pm) both dedicated to War God Murugan (Skandha) are the starting points for annual Hindu Vel Festival held in July/August. Starting from these Kovils the Huge trident chariot is dragged to various Kovils along Galle Road.

Gangaramaya Temple & Seemamalaka Meditation Center

Gangaramaya Temple is the center for the most extravagant Vesak festivals in Colombo and Navam Perahara in February each year. Seema Malakaya Meditaion Center - Designed by the renowned architect Geoffrey Bawa and run by Gangaramaya Temple this small but eye catching meditation center is famous for it's bronze Thai Buddha statues

Old Dutch Hospital

This 1600 Dutch built hospital is considered to be the oldest building in Colombo fort area. It's been used for several different purposes like fort's police station until 1990. Today this restored old building houses some of the Colombo's best caffè's and restaurants

National Museum

National museum is the Sri Lanka's premiere cultural institution which showcase the collectibles from the old hay days through colonial era. Nineth century graphite Buddha sculpture at the entrance, King Wimaladharmas' throne and antique demon masks are noteworthy

St. Lucia's Cathedral

This 1887 built enormous cathedral is the Sri Lanka's biggest church (Open 5:30am - 12:00pm and 2:00pm to 7:00pm). The cathedral's outer looks are inspired by St. Peter's in Rome.

Shopping at Odel and Barefoot

Visit Odel and Barefoot designer outlets for creative local merchandise mainly cloth-ware. Barefoot has combined vivid colors in to local clothing coming up with a nice collection of he/she dresses. Has selling point in Galle.

Pick up from your location

You will be picked up from a pre established location, from the airport or from your hotel/lodge. At the end of the tour you will be accompanied to tour hotel/lodge or to the airport whichever the convenient option for you. Pick up or drop off within Negombo city limits and up to Kochchikade river, Colombo city limits up to Mt. Lavinia and to/from Colombo international airport are free of charge. Transport Chauffeur

During the tour you will be travelling in air conditioned semi-luxury vehicles. The chauffeur (driver guide) will keep the conversation informative and entertaining explaining you the places you visit(where applicable) and the country in general and also answering any questions you have.

You will be picked up from a pre established location, from the airport or from your hotel/lodge. At the end of the tour you will be accompanied to your hotel/lodge or to the airport whichever the convenient option for you.

Galle Face Green

Spend some time watching sun set at Galle Face Green where locals come to spend the evening. Do not forget to taste some local snacks.

Viharamahadevi Park

Just to spend some time admiring the green. This centralized park offers something for everyone. Notable for beautiful flowering trees which bloom from March to early May.

This historic site once was a racecourse in European era then used as a airfield during WWII.

Independance Memorial Hall & Museum

Built for commemoration of the independance of Sri Lanka from British empire. Currently the venue for annual national day celebrations (4th February) and religious events.
